Press Release Summary:
During 21st-30th of July 2008 the XV edition of the festival International Students
Week in Timişoara will take place, promoting the theme "Revolution: real
vocation meets virtual education".

Press Release Body: ISWinT 2008 is organized by the Leagues from Automation and
Computer Science Faculty and Electronics and Telecommunications Faculty of
Politehnica University of Timisoara. The project is being supported by ANOSR
Timisoara, TeleUniversity Timisoara, the Ministry of Education and Culture, the
Local Council of Timisoara, the Council of Timisoara District, Studentie.ro,
Students' House Timisoara, the German Cultural Centre and Lotus Advertising.

This year, ISWinT is not only an anniversary edition, it also brings a change of the
concept, regarding educational, cultural and technology issues and also regards the
professional aspect, creativity, improvisation and the advertising industry. The
festival focuses on a problem of actuality, such as choosing a career which will
promote both vocation and education. The two objectives of the festival that are
being promoted are, on one hand, the importance of actuality problems among
students, and on the other hand providing information about these to the main
persons able to offer solutions: representatives of the academic and private field,
and the students leagues.
Those who want to take part in this festival are invited to register during 1st of
April - 25th of May on the festival site, www.iswint.ro, by filling in a form and
attaching a letter of motivation concerning the reasons which led you to choose this
festival. Afterwards, the forms will be sent on the mail address contact@iswint.ro.
The participation taxes for foreign students reach 60 Euros and 100 Ron for Romanian
students. These taxes include accommodation, meals and the necessary materials for
workshops.


During the festival seven workshops will be organized:
. "Write it right" - the participants will be initiated in writing techniques by
specialists in the field
. "mpeg, avi, divX" - during this workshop modifying video files techniques will be
presented
. "Career transition... a must!" - workshop regarding the personal development
. "Show must go on.so stand up and improvise!!!" - promotes improvisation
. "Athelier d'Art!" - creativity workshop
. "Turn On Creativity" - viewing commercials session and initiation in advertising
. "The World through your eyes" - workshop for persons who are interested in
photography

Moreover, the program will develop a series of conferences and activities, such as
conferences regarding advertising through consumers' eyes and a teambuilding trip,
during which, the participants will interact and will learn about Timisoara and the
cultural context of the town.

International Students Week in Timisoara - ISWinT- is an annual festival, which came
into life in 1994, and allows students of various countries the chance to
communicate and interact, to change opinions and debate the proposed themes. ISWinT
festival is a tradition in Timisoara reaching this year the XV edition.

Annually the festival has been trying to unite students from all over Europe, and
also students from Romanian Universities. Alongside, we have tried to focus on
nowadays problems, which have to be debated; problems of great importance, that
young people are dealing with. The practical activities inside workshops have as
objectives the realization of a first step in implementing the solutions. The strong
relationships which have been built among students of different cultures, during the
festival, have helped to develop European students' conections which have sustained
the tradition of the festival.

AC and Etc Leagues non-governmental, non-profit and non-political organizations of
Politehnica Timisoara have as purpose to represent students of Automation and
Computer Science Faculty and Electronics and Telecommunications Faculty of
Politehnica University Timisoara , to defend their rights and interests, to organize
socio-cultural events which emphasize the main goal that of representing and
informing students.
